Morning Star Church is still in its early days, and this is a unique time to come grow with us. We are praying that the Lord would build a church family rooted in His Word, full of grace, and ready to serve Columbia County.

Church Family and Discipleship

We are a small church family where kids are welcome in the service and no one has to have it all together. After worship we stay for lunch and a short group time so we can grow in grace, build friendships, and help one another follow Christ.

What You Can Expect

At Morning Star Church, we keep things simple and centered on God’s Word. We gather for worship, prayer, and singing, and we stay connected through discipleship, Bible study, and time together after service. Whether you have lived in the area for years or you are new to Lake City, you are welcome to join us and find peace in Christ.

Worship Services

Church life is more than Sunday. Join us for Gospel by the Fire, Bible study, and simple gatherings where friendships grow and we encourage one another to follow Jesus in everyday life. We also host community events like our annual BBQ tournament.

Need prayer or someone to talk with? We would be honored to pray for you and walk with you. You can send a private prayer request, and we will respond as soon as we can.

As a young and growing church, Morning Star currently meets in a shared church building with Columbia Baptist Church. We are thankful for their hospitality and for the place God has provided as we worship, grow in grace, and serve our community.

Gospel by the Fire

March 25, 2026 6:00 pm

A laid back night with a fire, God’s Word, and real conversation. Bring a chair, bring a friend, and come ready for good fellowship. We will spend time in Scripture, talk about Jesus, pray together, and enjoy the kind of community that feels like family. Whether you are new to the area, new to church, or just need a place to breathe and be encouraged, you are welcome here. Come join us and find peace in Christ.

Church Lunch Sunday

Every Sunday after Services

Every Sunday after service, we share lunch together before small group. It is a simple time to slow down, meet people, and build friendships that feel like family. If you are new, this is one of the easiest ways to connect and feel at home.

Ladies Potluck Dinner

Bring a favorite dish and join us for a relaxed evening of conversation, laughter, and encouragement from God’s Word. Come as you are and bring a friend.

Pie and Praise Night

Bring a dessert or just come and join us for a relaxed evening of singing and encouragement. We will sing a few Psalms and hymns, read a short passage of Scripture, and spend time in prayer together. It is simple, joyful, and family friendly, and it is a great night to invite a friend.
